“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” (Romans 1:18-20)

This text does not distinguish whether the people under consideration have been born again or not. Therefore, Paul is saying that God has revealed His wrath against sin to ALL MEN.

All human beings have a basic sense of morality. God has MANIFEST this IN every person.


This does not mean that all humans have a desire to perform good deeds in a moral way. Men who are dead in sin know they have broken God’s law but they simply don’t care. They “hold” or suppress this innate knowledge while continuing in sin.

God holds all people morally accountable for their conduct. They will either answer to God through His chastisement of His children here in time or they will face the eternal wrath of God in condemnation.
