Proverbs 11:12-13
17 July 2013
12 He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
12 Paul teaches us that we are to live at peace with people as much as we can. This would especially be profitable with your neighbor whom you live so close to and must correspond with as long as you both live there.
To have strife with a neighbor only adds to your burden of living peacefully in your own home.
13 A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
13 A good friend that can help you through troubles and overcome weaknesses is a precious gift, particularly in the church. However, it is impossible to get help when you cannot trust someone to keep things private that do not need everyone's attention.
Fellow yoke-bearers and accountability partners are vital in the church!
