Proverbs 11:24-26
17 July 2013
24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
This verse has to do with how we assist those in need.
Worldly logic will tell you that if you give things away, you will not have enough for yourself. The Lord views it differently. If we give to those in need, what we have will actually increase by the blessing of God. You cannot out give God.
If we withhold what someone needs when we have to power to help, we will soon find ourselves in need as well.
25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
This verse goes along with the previous. We must do "math" God's way!
26 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
This is similar to the previous two verse but deals mainly with commerce and fair business. If we fix prices just for pure profit and people cannot afford our needed product, The Lord will not bless our business. But a business that seeks to make money and benefit others will be blessed by God.
