Witness #7: Isaac

Isaac truly is a remarkable case to consider. On the surface, it would seem that Jacob simply fooled his father and stole Esau’s blessing. This makes Isaac look like a fool. However, The Lord says that Isaac gave this blessing in faith. How is this so?
Isaac did not know he was being tricked but he did believe the blessing that he was pronouncing would come to pass regardless of which son it was. Isaac’s faith was in God’s ability to carry out the blessing. This is what is truly wonderful about this event. God wanted to bless Jacob and that is exactly what happened! The actions of men do not overrule God’s actions. When we act in faith, even with incomplete knowledge, God is still able to bless!
