Witness #10: Moses' Parents
23 November 2013
The king had commanded all the midwives to kill newborn sons at the moment of birth. This method of controlling the power of the population is still used today and it is still pure evil. Nevertheless, Moses’ parents, by faith, knew they needed to preserve the life of their son. They hid him for three months and then put him in a handmade boat, set him in the river, and waited for the hand of God to care for him. Moses sister, hid herself and watched to see what would happen. The daughter of Pharaoh found him and raised him as her own.
By the overruling providence of God, Moses was not only not killed, he grew up in Pharaoh’s palace and would later bring him down as he delivered the children of Israel out of bondage!
