"And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve." (Luke 4:5-8)

The devil is a liar. Never forget that.

If the end result of worshipping the devil is supposed wealth and fame, then a life that is spent in search of riches and glory is essentially a life spent worshipping the devil.

He may tempt you with glory, riches, and power, but none of these are in in his power to give. He can only give to what he truly owns. NOTHING.

Satan has become so foolish, he fools himself. He is promising to give kingdoms to the King Who already owns them!

Our focus in life cannot be on two things. Jesus taught us that we cannot serve God and mammon. This means we cannot serve God while trying to gain power and wealth in this world. There is no gray area where we can do a little of both. If we are serving the love of riches, then we are showing hatred toward God.

Rather than foolishly seeking the riches of the world we should seek to worship the God Who owns the cattle of a thousand hills. He will provide for our needs!
