The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." (Luke 4:18-19)

When did Jesus come to save sinners?

At the exact moment that the Father saw fit.

And so it will be with His return.

Men cannot hasten the return of Christ by their actions or wills any more than they could bring Christ the first time. His first coming surprised the "learned" religious leaders of the day, and I believe His return will surprise them as well!

On this eve of 9/11/14, each of us who were aware on that dreadful day 13 years ago clearly remember being shaken to the core. But let us never forget, God did not forsake us that day! And He will not forsake us now!

There are threats surrounding this date every year. 2014 is no different. We need to be vigil concerning those threats but at the same time we need to remember that God was aware of the conditions on earth when He sent His Son the first time.

He was aware of our condition then, and He is aware now.

Whatever tomorrow, or any other day, holds, do not live in fear of our enemies. Why? because they hated God before they hated us!

And all the enemies of God will fall at His "acceptable" time!
