"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." (1st John 4:1-3)

There are all sorts of spirits at work in the world. I am not talking about ghosts and spooks. I am referring to the spiritual influences on people and, in turn, those people's influence on others. 

The only way to tell whether a spirit or message is sent from God is to put them on trial. We do this by comparing their actions and their message to the Bible.

Regular Bible Study is the only way a person can have a sound Christian mind. There are many influences trying to infiltrate our minds. The most dangerous spirits are those speaking in the name of Christianity.

Don't trust everything you see, hear or read. Be the noble Barean and put the words of everyone on trial by comparing them to Scripture.
