“I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.” 1st Thessalonians 5:27-28
The Bible should be accessible by everyone.
During the period known as the Dark Ages, the majority church that ruled men through State government sought to keep God’s people from reading His word. They found that if they kept the people uneducated, they could tell them what God said and the people had no way to verify it. This led to countless errors and sins being introduced as Bible doctrine.
God’s word, the Bible, is the supreme authority for men’s lives. It should not be kept from anyone and should be actively read by everyone!
In this new age of darkness that is overcoming America, and the world, we should fight against the oppressive actions of government to censor or remove the word of God in public places and our education system.
At the same time, we should also be more aggressive in our personal Bible study. We do not know if we will always have the freedom to worship like we do now. We should never take it for granted.
Let us not just argue for the principle of the superiority of the Bible, let us live like we believe it!
